Hey guys. Im new to the forums but it's nice to be in good company. Anyways, I picked up a '81 CB750 custom a few months back. It has its issues (leaks a bit of oil, headlight switch is busted off, rusting in places, missing right side cover...) but the one thing that really gets me is that it is too high. im only like 5'4". I am going to cut down the padding in the seat but I also was hoping to get some info on how to lower or replace the suspension to make the bike lower. Has anyone done this with this or a similar bike?

yea I wanted to go with shorter shock absorbers but Im not sure where to go from there. Like, I don't know if all absorbers are the same, if one fits most bikes and what not.

No, they don't. There's a lot of variety, learn your lengths, spring assemblies, and mount configurations, and then hit Progressive Suspension's website.

Once, the front fork seals on my 1970 BMW R75/5 blew on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. Man, that ride hurt.

check with the local honda shop for a set of lowered (2 inches) adjustable shocks then set them at their softest ride setting. Lowering the fron end is easy as inserting a 1 1/2 to 2 in spacer in the tubes.

    Hope this helps
