hello everyone~
im goin thru much again. i found another nail on my motorcycle tire just last nite... and no i didnt pick up a nail on a bike ride. found the motorcycle cover lifted off the tail end of the bike... would seem that it was meant to be noticed. this last nail is the third nail found in tire in a years time and is part of a string of events including shit smearing and even slashing of both tires without puncturing.
i pray that the torment transmutes and pray for protections and guidance during such trying times. im in very close proximity to the perpetrator and ask for the healing of the perpetrator in his sickness and tormenting ways... ask for love genuine and peace to melt the torment that tortures such souls to such dissolve... ask the energies that abounds... the universe that heeds the spirits that blessedly so to guide and assist in our developement and healing... especially when troubled so. i pray for guidance and protections and the wisdom to choose wisely in the choices laid before me.
any wellbeing meditations and prayers will be so welcome
thank you sincerely

Re: prayers...
Sat, January 26, 2008 - 2:07 PMhey p~
thats an awesome question... one that ive been ponderin bout myself. yah this guy and i dont get along... even in such close proximity. thats just plain and simple to see.
beyond that i could only fathom... and if i indulged id give him away. and id rather not in this forum.
what i will say is what i said on another tribe so here it is...
tribes.tribe.net/452dda20-...d3beaac26d
what reasons... many will come up with mariad of reasons for why someone does something... but really p~ there are no rational reasons that i can think of for that matter most ive talked with who can fathom someone going to such lengths in jeoprodizing someone elses life. this isnt a teen age prank. were talking bout damagin motorcycle tires... think bout it... what is it worth anyones rationale to go to such lengths to make a point... but again i really dont want to waste energy on this to fathom anothers rational for what is obvious is the violence to personal property and threat to anothers life.

Re: prayers...
Sat, January 26, 2008 - 2:00 PMIs there any way you can put your bike in a garage? We had a situation where a crackhead knocked over a whole row of bikes (we live in the middle of the city) during a drug deal gone wrong and all of them were damaged. After that we got a spot in our building's garage. -

Re: prayers...
Sat, January 26, 2008 - 2:34 PMhi t~
thank you for the suggestions and sharin your story as well.
someone else suggested the same... also along with fixin cameras and videos... some of my neighbors have already done the same thing for different reasons. the great thing is that i get along with everyone i know on the in our neigborhood except for the guy thats been perpetrating the damage on my motorcycle . so i do have eyes out on the streets. some that live street level and im thinking about talking with all of them to let them know what is going on in our neighborhood as well as the damage done to property. the least i can do is inform others living here who we have in our midst and let it rest after that. but yah its not sure proof. im gonna see about getting a garage somewhere as well yah that would be nice and worst comes to worst... i will just deal with the guy slashing my tires and puncturing them. and hope that he is stupid enough to get caught in the act. it would serve him right as hes done pretty attrocious and just down right unethical and at the least very shady and dodgy things in this community and not only to myself.
definitely working on being proactive in a constructive way and ultimately lettin it go as im not gonna give it any more mind than necessarily. got better more healthier and more fun things to do and work on.
yah garage would be nice...

Re: prayers...
Sun, January 27, 2008 - 3:47 PMhow about insurance? do you have coverage to pay for damage? is there a police report when the vandalism happens? we had a witness make a statement and we found out what happened because the cops left a card on our bike with a case number. we then contacted our insurance and they covered all the costs, which was awesome since we had it for only 9 months! it's as good as new again, in our garage. i hope you find the perpetrator and are able to get sorted out. best of luck!

Re: prayers...
Sat, January 26, 2008 - 2:43 PMI had a crack head neighbor stealing gas from my truck last summer.
sure - I coulda bought a lock for it but what a pain!
so, I tucked a note inside the fuel door that said "smile you are on camera!"
it stopped then.
It was close enough to some windows that it was believable.

Sat, January 26, 2008 - 3:07 PMthats some funny shit tom~
yah some peeps dont like cameras... yet these same peeps keep on doin some crazy shit that will put one there... the funny and the irony.
some dont like jail... yet they do some crazy shit to go to there...
maybe some jus aint fit to be sensible sentients after all...
takin us back several evolutions...
unable to see it any other way...
unwillin to realize a better way
the overtaxed cranium rationalizin the inhumanity
and the hyprocracy
givin way to even the most attrocious of behaviors...
along with slashin and puttin nails in motorcycle tires...
and stealin gas...
i like this note... "let me bend ya over and crack a smile on ur face" and "smile here a mug shot that ur father and mother will be proud of" but damn i forgot these fools dont give a shit bout their mothers or fathers... might have sold them down the river for a dirty nickel.

Ideas
Sun, January 27, 2008 - 3:23 PMIt sounds to me like this guy has some kind of 'hate on' for you. He's doing this to get a reaction from you, such as anger. He probably wants some form of retaliation from you, because he's looking for attention.
I don't know what to suggest. To be honest, if he is putting that much effort into vandalizing your bike he might as well just steal the bike. Smearing stuff all over your bike & putting nails in the tires requires just as much effort and takes much more time than compromising the lock and hotwiring the bike. After all, passers by probably wouldn't know if this was his bike or not. On the other hand, if someone sees a person sticking nails into someone's motorcycle tires or smearing it with grease they have a good idea that it's not the owner.
Either park it in a secured area such as a garage or shed or get a cover for it. Even renting a garage or space in a friend's garage a few blocks away from your house might be a solution.
If you don't have a garage or alternative place to park it, you might want to trade in the bike you have now for one that looks completely different. If you have a Honda, get a Suzuki. If you have a cruiser, try a sport bike for a while. Just something that doesn't LOOK like it would belong to you. A different shape, maybe even a paint job would do the trick. If you are pretty attached to your bike, then take it to a shop to get repainted and get a secondary cheap 'rat bike' for riding around town on. Looking at your profile, it looks like you like camping a lot. I would suggest an Enduro (dual-sport) with a small engine (125cc- 200cc). This bike would probably be light enough for you to pick up and put into the back of a van or truck for safekeeping. Small bikes are easy to sell again as 'beginner bikes' as well.
On the other hand, you could just repaint the bike you have with flat black from a paint can and call that your 'rat bike'.
It might make your bike look different enough that this guy wouldn't even think to bother with it. Also, 'rat bikes' are like the equivalent of work overalls of the motorcycle world. You can't really do anything to them to make them look worse. Of course, nails through the tires or kicking out the headlights/ tail-lights/ signal lights/ mirrors would certainly mess the bike up though. You can anticipate and prepare for this assault though. There is a kind of foam you can get for the inner-tubes that makes the tires self-sealing., you could cover up the headlights and tail-lights with some kind of metal grate, and so forth. The uglier and more brutal the bike looks, the better.

Re: Ideas
Sun, January 27, 2008 - 3:36 PMI hope they leave you alone. Opportunity and chance are the big factors in my opinion. I am fortunate enough to have a garage and dogs but it never makes me feel totally secure so I have case hardened chain and lock (the big ass Master {ha ha- a pun!} lock) and pipes in the floor&door. So pick your paranoia (justified in my mind)! My other tip is, when you're on a run, pick the ground floor motel room and roll your bike in at night.

thx yall for the advice and support...
Sun, January 27, 2008 - 11:58 PMthx all u guys~
in such situations as this its reassurin that there are peeps like you guys that care enough to hand down some wisdom advice and moral support.
garage or any secure space hmmm maybe if i can afford it in this town.
get a rat bike, sell/ trade the bike, get an enduro... loved ridin those out on the desert or maybe it was just a regular dirtbike i dont know... anyways fuck almost killed myself and practically gave one friend a heart attack as he watched me flyin and tearing into the playa... yah was definitely playin on the edge... but man was that so much fun. or paint it, but what i do like is gettin a rat bike... or rattin it out but ur right it aint gonna stop the nails.
btw... i had a cover over it... and this last time he had taken the cover off the tail end of the bike to "show me" that he did it... that it was no accident... that i didnt just pick it up on the streets riding... go figure... pretty sadistic but thats the guy for ya. but maybe he thought hey what if the nail was not noticed or what if its taken care of before being ridden... and with the nail it might just blow... maybe just maybe its hes way of showing that he has a conscious and might feel a little guilty if the nail he put in the bike wasnt noticed or had anything to do with me getting into an accident or possible death... but then again maybe im given the guy too much credit to being a sensible human with a conscious... he is a sick attention whore after all... and a nail in a bike is still a nail. and slashing blade cuts on both tires are still slashes and cuts. and smeared shit over a motorcycle still smells like shit and looks like shit... is still shit.
also like the idea of parkin it near a ground level window... ive been talkin with many of the neighbors and they said they will testify to get the guy. the neighbors dont like him either even this old timer whose been in the neighborhood for several decades. the sad thing is that he makes hes situation worse everytime he does such stupid things and this is just one of many stupid shit this guys done. the more sad for him is that in the end hes the one losing out... by doing harm to others and/or property and making enemies he has less and less friends... fuck id go to hell and back for some friends. great thing about having most of your neighbors as friends is that they look after eachothers backs... and if shit happens then the whole fricken block and surroundin neighbors know about it... but again you are right he is a sadistic attention whore. will do almost anything for attention.
another sure call is that hes also a hater. and you guessed right... way too much time on hes hands. what does one expect from a trust funder doin street work and thinkin hes savin the world at the same doin the same shit he criticizes and screams about just to do it behind most peeps back... and others beyond the immediate wouldnt have a clue to this guys real nature beyond the fact hes just a tad weird. i mean who in their right mind... who with a healthy mind spirit and soul takes the time and effort to smear human shit all over someones motorcycle let alone cutting and slashin as well as puttin nails in motorcycle tires.
i gotta admit i was pretty pissed several months ago when i tried to get on the bike to go see and give a friend moral support who was in icu with aids only to find that the guy had smeared shit all over the bike. and guess what... the friend was more important at that time than trying to report the shit to the cops. the funny is that you would think that he would have at least left a sneering note with all the time and preparation the guy had to go thru. at the time it was in what i thought was a safe hidden secure keyed area where only a handful of peeps had access including him and yah back then several months ago i didnt think he would sink so low. but yah its jus bullshit infantile child behavior that aint gonna win him any true friends or for that matter any real deep connections in this town... in life. but basically your are right this guy thrives and seeks for attention... and looking for a reaction.
and really at this juncture even if a little late its probably prudent to make an official report just in case i have to take him to court or insurance or whatever but yah i dont think i have damage insurance on the bike jus liability. and beyond that just ignore the guy and secure the bike somewhere and or get insurance for it or park it where more neighbors can keep an eye on it... or just live with it chalkin it up to part of living.
gotta say that i feel grateful for this community of bikers here... you guys respondin to my post leaves me feeling comforted. yah there is nothing like the alone feeling when going thru some of lifes trials. been thinkin bout joinin a motorcycle club... saw one i think it was on folsom the other night while i was out on the town with a friend. anyways thanks heaps for all the advice and moral support.

Re: thx yall for the advice and support...
Mon, January 28, 2008 - 7:44 AMI hear yah. Shit is shit. There is no way you are going to leave it on your bike, or even ride your bike until the shit has been scrubbed off....twice.
Also, you can rat out your bike but how are you going to prevent nail punctures and slashes? Then there's also hammers, sugar in the gas tank, stealing spark plugs, kicking the bike over, anything an angry juvenile mind can imagine.
The idea of keeping a detailed report of all this guy's activities is the best one. Make sure to file it with the Police. Even if this guy doesn't do enough to get charged (although he has already), the Police will still have a file on this guy as a troublemaker. Chances are the Police already do have a file the size of a phone book on this guy. Nasty people like this guy aren't just nasty to you, they treat everyone the same nasty way. They don't get away with it for very long. People like this usually have to skip from town to town, or at least neighborhood to neighborhood since they make too many enemies. The files that the cops have on them keeps building and building though, so when this guy eventually DOES go to court the incidence of him vandalizing your motorbike will come back to bite him in the ass, hard.
By that time you would have likely forgotten all about him, and he would likely have forgotten about you. However, the files from the reports and accounts you are making today will still be there sitting as evidence to get him evicted, prosecuted, incarcerated, etc. Every mighty oak begins as an acorn. -
